Blooming Bee Gardening is led by Jade Patterson, President and Founder, whose passion for plants, pollinators, and prairie ecosystems is at the heart of everything we do. With a strong focus on native plants, sustainable gardening practices, and thoughtful garden design, Jade combines creativity, hands-on experience, and a deep love for the natural world to help clients create outdoor spaces that are both beautiful and environmentally conscious.

Alongside Jade is Ryley, Vice President and Project Manager, who helps keep every project running smoothly both on-site and behind the scenes. From coordinating materials and managing installations to ensuring every detail is completed with care, Ryley plays a key role in bringing each garden vision to life.
Together, our team blends creativity, practical experience, and a genuine love for the outdoors to create gardens that feel personal, welcoming, and full of life.

Meet Becca
Assistant Head Gardener

Blooming Bee Gardening is excited to welcome Becca Sunderland as our new Assistant Head Gardener.
Becca grew up outside the city on an acreage, where her love for plants and nature began early. Spending time outdoors surrounded by gardens, open skies, and prairie landscapes gave her a deep appreciation for both the beauty and purpose of plants in everyday life.
Her passion for greenery extends far beyond the garden bed. Becca has experience caring for both outdoor landscapes and indoor tropical plants, bringing a well-rounded understanding of plant health, maintenance, and design. From seasonal containers and lush flower beds to tropical indoor installations, she loves helping spaces feel vibrant and alive.
Becca has hands-on experience with landscape maintenance, greenhouse plant care, tropical plants, seasonal installations, and customer education. She enjoys working with a wide variety of plants and is especially passionate about gardening in colder climates and exploring native plants suited to Zones 2–4.
Her calm personality, creativity, strong work ethic, and genuine enthusiasm for horticulture make her a wonderful addition to the Blooming Bee team.
When she’s not gardening, Becca enjoys learning about alternative growing methods, caring for indoor tropical collections, and continuing to expand her horticultural knowledge.
We are thrilled to have her helping our clients create beautiful, thriving spaces both indoors and out.
